Laurel Douglas is the CEO of Women’s Enterprise Centre, the go-to place for women in BC who are starting, purchasing or growing their business. From its offices in Kelowna, Vancouver and Victoria, Women’s Enterprise Centre provides business loans, training, mentoring programs, business advice and resources to women business owners across BC.
In honour of International Women’s Day, Laurel will explore some of the contributions which women entrepreneurs have made over the years, and discuss some of the exciting trends in women's entrepreneurship. Following her talk, she will facilitate a panel discussion with a group of local women business owners. They will be discussing Survival Tips for different stages of business. The women joining Laurel on the panel were recently recognized in the Women’s Enterprise Centre publication, New Pioneers: Stories of 100 BC Women Entrepreneurs, which featured 11 Kelowna area women. Complimentary copies of this beautiful coffee-table style book will be provided to all attendees of the March 11 KWIB event, and many of the Okanagan women will be available to sign the books.
Come join Laurel, the Women’s Enterprise Centre and the Okanagan New Pioneer women business owners for an evening of celebration, connection and inspiration.
